Description
I bought this rv in May 2008 & it was my first foray into the rv lifestyle. Due to health reason I am selling this rv. I drove this vehicle with a little concern as how it would drive, but it was very easy to drive especially since it was my first RV.
On a straight & level I can get 12 mpg. On hilly roads it gets 8mpg. It has cruise control & mechanically this rv is in great shape. It had 7 new 12 ply 19.5 tires on it when I bought it & this year put 2 new tires on front. Along with the tires it has new brake pads, rotors & calipers all way around. The 454 motor in this rv is really strong. The motor starts easily, runs great & makes for plenty of power. It does not smoke, burn oil or leak oil. The motor has 25psi oil pressure at hot idle & 55 at 60 mph.
The transmission is equally as strong. It shifts great, is very quiet & does not leak. The only problem with the motor is the dash ac needs a txv valve to work properly .It holds pressure but does not cool. The part is 50$ at any rv shop. The generator has 161 hours on it. It is a 4k onan. It starts quickly hot or cold, runs smoothly, uses no oil & is very quiet. The generator is located in the front section of the rv. The windshield is very clear, no cracks or stars at all. The ac unit works very well & cools the inside of the rv quickly. The ducted heater is also very quiet & works well. The refrigerator works of off lp or electric. It keeps everything cold & freezer will make ice. The microwave works well. the stove on this rv was never used & I have only used it a couple of times & it works well too.There is a lot of storage inside & out. The rear queen bed mattress was new last year & is very comfortable. The roof is metal & was sealed a couple years ago. It looks like the shower skylight leaked at one time, but it has been sealed. Outside it has a shower, a huge awning, an electric entry step.
The rv is wired for cable in 2 spots front & rear. There is a class 3 hitch on the back as well as a 4 plug connector for a small trailer. Now for the bad parts. It is a 20 year old rv that has spent its whole life outside. The fiberglass is faded along with the decals on the sides and hood. The inside carpet is faded but clean. We always use mats & a no shoe policy inside the rv. I have all the books & manuals for everything inside & outside. Please email me with any questions. This is my rv in my name at my house. We have just reduced this so first person with the $7000 will be getting a bargain! |
