Begin your adventure here. - The site of the world's first commercial oil well, Oil Creek State Park tells the story of the early petroleum industry by interpreting oil boom towns, oil wells and early transportation. The park has scenic deep hollows, steep hills, wetlands and a beautiful meandering creek. Sites like these can be seen while traveling the 9.5-mile paved bicycle trail through the scenic Oil Creek Gorge, or on an excursion train.
